The Elephant

Elephant is a huge mammall characterized by a long muscular snout[ trunk] and two long, curved, tusks called ivories. Highly intelligent and strong, elephants are the largest land animals and are among the longest lived, with life apans of 60 years or more. Healthy, full grown elephant have enormous body up to a length of six metres and a height of three metres. It weighs up to six tonnes. It is like a rhinoceros. Although its hearing power is poor sense of smell is keen. It has no natural enemies other than humans. Elrphant have long been revered and honoured, and in Thailand, India, and other Southeast Asian countries, beautifully decorated elephants still play a significant role in traditional religious ceremonies. According to Boddhist tradition, the Buddha chose the form of a white elephant as one of his many earthly incarnations, and the rare appearance of the gods.
